25th December is the most anticipated weekend of 2009 for Bollywood film lovers! Well, that is the day on which ‘The Perfectionist Khan’ Aamir Khan comes up with his latest release, 3 Idiots. The most eagerly awaited film of 2009, 3 Idiots stars R.Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor alongside Aamir Khan. The film based on Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller ‘Five Point Someone’ is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

The marketing strategies of the film were quite interesting! From butt chairs that have been set up at leading multiplex chains across the country to the ramp show in which Aamir, Madhavan and Sharman unveiled their range of 3 Idiots T-shirts by Pantaloons, a lot have been done to ensure maximum exposure for the film. Also Aamir Khan came up with a game for the promotion of the film. The objective of the game is to find the star who has gone into hiding. The winner will get a chance to have dinner with him on New Year’s eve.

The trio of Aamir Khan, R.Madhavan and Sharman Joshi had earlier worked together in the critically and commercially successful Rang De Basanti in 2006. The lead lady of 3 Idiots, Kareena Kapoor is working with Aamir Khan for the first time.
