Chance Pe Dance

Chance Pe Dance is a musical film directed by Ken Ghosh of Ishq Vishk and Fida fame. Shahid Kapoor and Genelia D'Souza play the lead roles in the movie.

Chance Pe Dance tells the story of Sameer (Shahid Kapoor), a talented and passionate young struggling actor, who juggles various jobs while working towards his dream of becoming a superstar. During his struggle he meets Sonia (Genelia D'Souza), a choreographer by profession.

Now adding to his struggle, he is left without a house as he is not able to pay the rent. Sam starts living in his rickety old car and starts teaching dance in a school to young kids who have never won any dance competition.

A director who had earlier promised to give Sam a chance in his film now decides to find the hero through a talent hunt. Though shattered, Sam decides to try his luck in the talent hunt as Sonia and the kids urges him to do so. How he emerges as the winner of the talent hunt and manages to get his big break in the film industry forms the rest of the story.

The film was initially titled as 'Yahoo' and later 'Star' was also considered. Also the film was shot halfway through with Jiah Khan as the heroine. But she was asked to leave and was replaced by Genelia D'Souza.

Chance Pe Dance is produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures. The film will hit the theaters on January 15, 2010.
