Dabangg, Dabaang, Dabaangg

Salman Khan's Wanted was a treat for action lovers last year. Now the macho Khan is back again with another action packed cop story titled Dabangg. Directed by debutant Abhinav Kashyap, brother of Anurag Kashyap, the film has another debutant Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of Shatrughan Sinha, as the heroine. Dabangg also has a strong supporting cast comprising of Arbaaz Khan, Sonu Sood, Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Anupam Kher and Mahesh Manjrekar.

Dabangg is set in Uttar Pradesh and deals with the unlawful practices in the state and the involvement of Police in it. Salman Khan plays a character with negative shades, in the film. His role is that of a corrupt police officer named Chulbul Pandey also known as Robinhood Pandey. Salman will mouth a lot of UP slang and will spot a moustache in the film that tries to highlight the flaws and loopholes in the system. Sonu Sood plays the antagonist in the film.

Dabangg is produced by Arbaaz Khan under the banner of Arbaaz Khan Productions. The film marks his debut as a producer.

Sajid-Wajid has scored the music for the film and cinematography is by Mahesh Limaye. The breathtaking action sequences of Dabangg were choreographed by action director S.Vijayan.

Dabangg is slated for release on September 10, 2010.
