Jail
Jail is yet another realistic venture from the realistic filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar. After the glitz and glamour of 'Fashion' world, this time he focuses on the much darker sides of Indian prisons. Unlike most of his earlier films, Jail will feature a male protagonist.
Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the lead character of Parag Dixit in the film. The actor who made an aggressive debut with 'Johnny Gaddaar', might feel lucky to play the lead in a Bhandarkar film at such an early stage of his career. He is reported to have appeared complete nude in a scene where the police tortures him. Jail also has Mugdha Godse and Manoj Bajpai in pivotal roles.
Jail is told from the view point of Parag Dixit, an innocent young man who ends up in jail due to some unfortunate events. Centered around him, the film also tells the stories of other inmates in the jail.
Jail is a co-production of Percept Picture Company and Bhandarkar Entertainment.
