Lafangey Parindey, Lafange Parinde, Lafangay Parinday

He's wild and she's blind. He was born to fight, she was born to fly. He is known as One Shot Nandu and she is Pinky Palhar. Both were destined to meet. He teaches her to see and she teaches him how to love. But what price will they have to pay for their love? Director Pradeep Sarkar tells this love story set in the gritty streets of Mumbai in his next venture Lafangey Parindey.

Lafangey Parindey is based on the bike gangs in Mumbai. The film features the fresh pair of Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the character of Nandu, a fighter who pummels his opponents in the ring blindfolded. Deepika Padukone play Pinky Palhar, a dancer who is blind but ambitious and dances with roller skates on her feet. Deepika will be seen in an action avatar and both the lead actors have done some daredevil stunts in the film.

Lafangey Parindey is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The film is director Pradeep Sarkar's second outing with Yash Raj Films after Laaga Chunari Mein Daag in 2007.

Story, screenplay and dialogues of Lafangey Parindey are by Gopi Puthran. N. Nataraja Subramanian is the director of photography. R.Anandh has scored the music and lyrics are by Swanand Kirkire. Sanjib Datta has done the editing of the film.

Lafangey Parindey will hit the big screens worldwide on August 20, 2010.
