Teen Patti

Teen Patti is a thriller directed by Leena Yadav who had previously directed the Sanjay Dutt-Aishwarya Rai starrer Shabd in 2005. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Academy Awards Winner Ben Kingsley in lead roles. Tamil superstar Madhavan, Saira Mohan, Raima Sen and newcomers Siddharth Kher, Shraddha Kapoor, Vaibhav Talwar and Dhruv Ganesh also play pivotal roles in the film.

Teen Patti is an emotionally riveting and razor sharp thriller about greed, deception and giant feats of imagination. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Venkat, a reclusive math genius from India, who has cracked a theory that could redefine the principles of probability and randomness. He realises that his theory is applicable to card games. Encouraged by his junior professor Shantanu, essayed by Madhavan, Venkat tests his theory in a casino in the game of Teen Patti.

Venkat finds out that with the help of this theory he could guess the cards of other members playing the game, if he could get to know any one person's cards. But the money they won only leads them to some unprecedented circumstances. Ben Kingsley essays the role of Perci Trachtenberg, widely regarded as the word's greatest living mathematician.

Teen Patti is produced by Ambika A Hinduja under the banner of Serendipity Films. Story of the film is by Leena Yadav and Shiv Kumar Subramaniam. Salim - Sulaiman has scored the music and cinematography is by Aseem Bajaj. Irfan Siddique is the lyricist of Teen Patti.

Teen Patti is scheduled for release on February 26, 2010.
