Daddy Cool

Daddy Cool is directed by Aashiq Abu who is making his debut with the film. Megastar Mammootty plays the hero in the movie that is about the relationship between a cool daddy and his naughty son. South Indian actress Richa Pallod, who is making her Mollywood debut appears as Mammootty's wife in the film.

Mammooty plays the character of Antony Simon, a crime branch officer. He is all love for his son Aadhi Simon(Master Dhananjay) who is a smart and enthusiastic kid with a great passion for cricket. Antony, though lazy at his work, never misses a chance to have a blast with his son. For Aadhi, his father is his greatest hero. Richa Pallod plays Antony's loving wife and Aadhi's caring mom, but she is fed up of the lazy and too cool nature of her husband. Something unexpected happens later which turns out to be the thrill of their adventurous fun filled life.

Mammootty had earlier created history with Fazil's Pappayude Swantham Appus that told a story between a father and a son. The actor, who is now going through a rough patch in his career pins a lot of hopes on Daddy Cool.

Daddy Cool is produced by Alwin Antony and Bose Kurian under the banner of Ananya Films. Story and screenplay are by the director himself. Bijibal has scored the music and Anil Panachooran is the lyricist. Sameer Thahir of Big B fame is the cinematographer. Marikar Films brings Daddy Cool to the theaters.
