Malarvaadi Arts Club is a youth oriented comedy that marks the directorial debut of singer-actor Vineeth Sreenivasan. The film, set against the rustic backdrops of Malabar, features a set of newcomers in the lead roles. Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar, Suraj Venjaramood, Saliim Kumar and Kottayam Nazeer play supporting roles in the film.
Malarvadi Arts Club tells the story of five friends in a village called Manassery in North Malabar. Having completed their studies and in the lookout for a job, they have no other place for a hangout than their old children's club. The Club is facing destruction as the new generation is showing no interest in its activities. The five some decides to somehow run the Club and organize better activities with the help of the local men. Malarvadi Arts Club follows the hilarious attempts of the friends to establish themselves and their club in the village.
Malarvaadi Arts Club is produced by Dileep under the banner of Grand Production. Screenplay and lyrics are penned by Vineeth himself. Music is by Shaan Rahman and camera is handled by P Sukumar.
Distributed by Manjunatha Release, Malarvaadi Arts Club is expected to be released on July 16th, 2010.
