Spanish Masala

Spanish Masala is the latest film from director Lal Jose. Featuring Dileep in the lead role Spanish Masala has Austrian beauty Daniela Zacherl playing the heroine. Kunchacko Boban plays a pivotal role in the film that also has Biju Menon and Vinaya Prasad in important supporting roles.

As the title suggests Spanish Masala tells a story set and shot in Spain. Dileep plays the role of Charlie, a Chef at an Indian restaurant in Madrid, Spain. Charlie came to Spain for a program and got stuck there due to some circumstances and is unable to return to India .

As Charlie is struggling without knowing Spanish, Camilla (Daniela Zacherl) comes into the picture and helps Charlie find a job. Camilla, who is the daughter of an ex-ambassador of Spain to India, was born and brought up in India. She also has a strong relationship with India through an Indian guy named Rahul (Kunchacko Bobban). What happens to Camilla and Rahul and how does Charlie come into the picture, makes the story of Spanish Masala.

Benny P. Nayarambalam has written the story and screenplay for Spanish Masala. Benny, Lal Jose and Dileep had created the blockbuster Chanthupottu in 2005.

Spanish Masala is produced by Naushad under the banner of Big Screen Productions. Vidyasagar has composed the music for the film and lyrics are penned by Venugopal. Loganathan is the director of photography.

Spanish Masala is scheduled for release on January 20, 2012.
