Thiruvambadi Thamban

Director M. Padmakumar is back in business with his latest film Thiruvambadi Thamban. The film features Jayaram in the lead role while Kannada actress Haripriya, in her Malayalam debut, is the heroine.

Jayaram plays the role of Thiruvambadi Mathan Tharakan, an elephant contractor who brings elephants from Bihar to Kerala. Highlight of the film will be scenes filmed during a Big Gajamela at Zoanpur in Bihar and Thrissur in Kerala.

Thiruvambadi Thamban also marks the Malayalam debut of Tamil actors Thambi Ramaiah and Kishore. Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar, Kalabhavan Mani and Suraj Venjaramoodu play the other important roles in the film.

Thiruvambadi Thamban is produced by Alexander John under the banner of Jini Cinema. S.Suresh Babu has written the script for the film. M. Jayachandran has composed the songs for the film and Manoj Pillai handles the camera. Editing is by Samjith.

Thiruvambadi Thamban is scheduled for release on May 25, 2012.
