Aadhavan

Aadhavan is an action entertainer from director K.S.Ravikumar after his super hit Dasavatharam in 2008. The film features Surya and Nayantara in lead roles who will be seen sharing the screen for the first time.

Surya will play a double role in the movie. Suriya had previously played double roles more than a few times, but for the first time in his career Surya will play a negative character in one of his roles.

Veteran actress Saroja Devi will play an important role in the movie. Others in the cast include Vadivelu, Rahul Dev, Shayaji Shinde, Fefsi Vijayan, Ramesh Khanna Anand Babu and Manobala.

Harris Jayaraj has scored the music for the film. His association with Suriya was so successful in films like Kaakha Kaakha, Ghajini, Vaaranam Aayiram and Ayan. Song sequences of the movie were shot in the cool locales of Iceland, where James Bond movies were shot. Aadhavan is the first-ever Tamil film to be shot in the ice-capped nation.

Aadhavan is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin and grandson of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, under the banner of Red Giant Productions. Aadhavan is their second venture subsequent to Kuruvi. Ramesh Khanna has scripted the story for the film. R.A.Ganesh is the cinematographer. Art is by Rajeevan.

Aadhavan is slated for a Deepavali release this year.
