Billa 2

Billa 2 is a prequel to the 2007 blockbuster film Billa that was directed by Vishnuvardhan. Billa 2 is directed by Chakri Toleti of Unnaipol Oruvan fame. The film features Ajith Kumar in the lead role who reprises his role of David Billa from the 2007 film.

Billa 2 is about the early life of the dreaded gangster David Billa (Ajith). It would focus on the events that made David, an ordinary youth from the coastal regions of South Tamil Nadu to become the most dreaded underworld don.

Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah will play the female leads in Billa 2. Vidyut Jamwal, who made an impressive debut in the Hindi flick Force, is the main antagonist while Sudhanshu Pandey, Prabhu, Rahman, Manoj K. Jayan and Krishna Kumar play the other important roles.

Billa 2 is produced by Wide Angle Creations in association with IN Entertainment, a Hinduja Group company. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer and R. D. Rajasekhar is the cinematographer.

Billa 2 is expected to be released on July 13, 2012.
