Madrasapattinam

Madrasapattinam is a period love story set in the pre independence era pertaining to the period from 1940 to 1947. The film is written and directed by A.L.Vijay of Kireedam and Poi Solla Porom fame. Arya plays the male lead in the movie while British model and actress Amy Jackson plays the heroine.

Madrasapattinam tells a love story with independence struggle as its backdrop. The film moves around the romantic affair between a Madrasi youth(Arya) and a British girl (Amy Jackson) who is the 18 year old daughter of the governor of Madrasapattinam.

Madrasapattinam is produced by Kalpathi S Agoram under the banner of AGS Entertainment. G.V.Prakash Kumar has scored the music for the film. Nirav Shah is the cinematographer and editing by Anthony Gonsalvez.

Madrasapattinam, distributed by Red Gaint Movies is expected to hit the theaters on July 9, 2010.
