Pokkisham

Cheran is back in business with what he is best at! Narrating yesteryear love stories in flashback format with himself as the protagonist. Pokkisham is his directorial venture after the failed attempt Mayakannadi. His last film as an actor was Raman Thediya Seethai.

Padmapriya plays the female lead in Pokkisham. Pokkisham is a period love story set in 1970 and is narrated in flashbacks. Cheran plays a Hindu boy working in Kolkata as a marine engineer and Padmapriya is Nadira, a Muslim girl who is a literature student and she belongs to an upperclass family in Nagoor. Love blossoms between them but the traditional restrictions turns villain for them.

Cheran is teaming up with the music director duo Sabesh Murali after Thavamai Thavamirundhu. One of the songs , Nila... sung by Vijay Yesudas and Chinmayi is a beautiful melody and is already creating waves.
