Singam

Singam is an action flick directed by Hari. The film features Surya and Anushka Shetty in lead roles who will be seen sharing the screen for the first time. Prakash Raj, Nassar, Vivek and Manorama play supporting roles in the film.

Singam revolves around smuggling activities taking place in Rameshwaram. Surya plays the role of an honest police officer named Durai Singam whose mission is to put an end to all the illegal activities.

Singam is the 25th film of Surya who is on a high after giving consecutive hits like Ayan and Aadhavan. He is pairing up with Hari for the third time, after the duo gave hits Aaru and Vel.

Singam marks the return of Hari to cop stories after his blockbuster Saamy in 2003. The last time Surya played the role of a cop was in the blockbuster Kaakha Kaakha in 2003.

Singam is produced by K.E._Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green Productions and Reliance BIG Pictures. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director whereas Priyan wields the camera and V T Vijayan does the editing.

Singam, distributed by Sun Pictures is expected to be released on May 28, 2010.
