Sura

Sura is an action-comedy film written and directed by S.P.Rajkumar. The film stars 'Ilayathalapathy' Vijay and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles. Supporting cast consists of Vadivelu, Dev Gill and Riyaz Khan.

Sura will be another masala entertainer from Vijay. The film tells an action packed story set among the fishermen community. Vijay plays a fisherman who is fondly called as Sura(Shark). When the villains try to cheat his community, he becomes a one man army and fights out all injustice. Tamannaah plays a college girl who falls in love with Vijay.

Sura will be Vijay's 50th film upon its release. Vijay has announced that Sura will be his last mass masala film and he will start focusing on roles with greater versatility.

Sura is produced by Sangili Murugan who had earlier produced ‘Kadhalukku Mariyathai’ which was a turning point in Vijay’s career. The music for the movie has been scored by Mani Sharma while editing is done by Anthony.

Sura, distributed by Sun Pictures is scheduled for release on April 30, 2010.
