Unnaipol Oruvan

Unnaipol Oruvan is a bilingual film made simultaneously in tamil and telugu(as Eenadu) languages. Kamal Haasan stars in both the versions. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal plays an equally important role in the Tamil version while Telugu superstar Venkatesh plays the same in Telugu version.

Unnaipol Oruvan is directed by Chakri Toleti, a close friend of Kamal Haasan. Music for Unnaipol Oruvan is composed by Kamal Haasan's daughter Shruti Haasan.

Unnaipol Oruvan(meaning:someone like you) was previously titled Thalaivan Irukiran. Unnaipl Oruvan is a remake of the 2008 bollywood film "A Wednesday". Kamal Haasan plays the character which Naseeruddin Shah did in the original and the character of Anupam Kher(police commissioner) in A Wednesday will be played by Mohanlal and Venkatesh in tamil and telugu versions respectively.
