Vande Matharam, Vandemaatharam, Vande Mataram

Vande Matharam is an action thriller film directed by T.Aravind. A bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam, the film features Megastar Mammootty and Action King Arjun in lead roles.

Vande Matharam tells the story of two officers who set out on a terrorist hunt. Mammootty plays Gopi Krishnan, Southern zone command director of the Intelligence Bureau while Arjun is Anwar Hussain, a Superintendent of Police. Gopi Krishan is assigned the task of uncovering the plans of a terrorist group led by Malik who has already found his way into the country. Anwar joins him on deputation from State Police and together they try to track down Malik.

Sneha is female lead of the film who plays the role of a pilot and Gopi Krishnan's wife. Sharadha Arya plays an ornithologist who falls in love with Arjun.

Vande Matharam is produced by Henry under the banner of Pankaj Productions. Henry is the producer of quality social films like Marumalarchi, Bharathi Kannama and Pudhumaipithan in Tamil and Yavanika in Malayalam. Music of the film has been scored by D.Imman.

Vande Matharam is expected to be released on September 10, 2010.
