Vettai

Vettai is the latest film from director N. Linguswamy, whose last film was the blockbuster Paiyaa. Madhavan and Arya play the lead roles in the film. Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul appear as the heroines and they are paired opposite Madhavan and Arya respectively.

Set in Thoothukudi, Vettai tells the story of two brothers played by Madhavan and Arya. Madhavan plays a laidback cop in the film, unlike the usual superhero cops in Tamil films. Vettai marks the reunion of Linguswamy and Madhavan after a gap of 9 years. The duo had earlier worked together for Run, which turned out to be a blockbuster in 2002.

Vettai is produced by Linguswamy and his brother N. Subash Chandra Bose under the banner of Thirupathi Brothers. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the film and lyrics are by Na. Muthukumar. Nirav Shah is the
cinematographer and editing is by Anthony Gonsalves.

Vettai, distributed by UTV Motion Pictures, is scheduled for release on January 14, 2012.
